This is a somewhat serious post,yes unfortunately it happens sometimes but we have just got to the bottom of a serious compromise of our online accounts including email, twitter, facebook, myspace, linkedin. What we have learnt from the pro we paid to chase it and fix the whole problem is,  ( that ) bands as a whole tend to be laxadasical when it comes to online security as their may not be the same amount of emotional incentive in regard to the content and it's potential for misuse. I know this to be true of myself, I have left our twitter open and the last hacking incident was on twitter which was fortunately the incident which alerted us to the whole debacle. Thankfully because of twitters setup people noticed quickly that messages were not anyone of us and alerted us. I wish that someone had of done that ages ago, it is a really embarrasing thing to think that you have been sending out horrid representations of your band, which essentially equates to yourself and sending it to people who don't know you well enough to alert you. In the end we decided not to even go through it all as there was so much done it would've been like reading War and Peace. We now have to hope we're not in peoples spam boxes and work out an appropriate ' mass ' email to let people know that ' we don't sell watches ' !! and believe me that is only the mildly annoying last incident, some of them we're abstract, some sexually aggresive, some rude, ( what does '' they tapped you '' mean? not sure if that's in the Rude category or abstract ) you know the whole gamut. Anyhow at least now the security is safe. Thanks to those of you who let us know about the twitter and email in the last couple of weeks.
